ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel 20 / 30

The ATEM Advanced Panels follow a standard M/E (Mix/Effects) layout that's widely recognized in the industry. Each panel is equipped with built-in LCDs for menu navigation, high-quality buttons that offer customizable illumination colors, a joystick for DVE (Digital Video Effects) manipulation, and a T-bar fader for smooth transitions. All rows of M/E buttons are integrated with LCDs, allowing dynamic labeling of input buttons. The 1 M/E Advanced Panel 20 model boasts 20 input buttons and 2 system control LCDs, while the larger 1 M/E Advanced Panel 30 features 30 input buttons and incorporates 3 system control LCDs. Both models include buttons for the control of 4 upstream keyers, 4 downstream keyers, and 4 M/E rows.

The ATEM Constellation has been meticulously designed to provide users with the most advanced live switching workflow. Internally, it incorporates separate program and preview buses that users can utilize for swift and precise source switching.

When choosing transition types, a system control LCD screen displays the available options for that specific transition, allowing users to adjust parameters without navigating complex menus. It's all readily accessible, offering users multiple methods for seamless switching. Users can even execute direct cuts on the program bus. With the ATEM Advanced Panels, users have all the controls necessary to swiftly access various transition types.

ATEM switchers offer a wide range of transition styles. They include standard SMPTE wipes, which can be softened at the edges for smooth, dreamy transitions more captivating than simple cross dissolves. Dip transitions create a dip-to-color effect, and since users can dip to any video source, they can produce innovative effects. DVE transitions utilize the DVE to generate dynamic movements where the entire foreground image shifts. The T-bar fader even allows users to manually adjust the transition for total control.

Enhance wipe transitions by tweaking parameters to transform them into exciting effects. While users can directly select the wipe pattern on the LCD, they can also customize it extensively to suit their production style. Additionally, the dedicated joystick can be used to precisely position the wipe pattern.

ATEM Advanced Panels are ideal for positioning the DVE to create custom picture-in-picture effects, thanks to the included joystick. Users can also utilize the soft knobs and on-screen menus to fine-tune the DVE's position, size, and other features like lighting and drop shadow effects. The DVE can be configured to animate graphics into the frame or select from pre-programmed push and squeeze transitions.

The ergonomically designed T-bar control allows users to execute transitions with precision during live performances. In certain situations, the emotional aspects of a live event demand a tactile feel for transitions to synchronize seamlessly with camera operators and talent. Much like a conductor, the ATEM Constellation becomes an integral part of the performance, setting the tone as the production unfolds.

Users can manipulate elements on the screen using the joystick. With complete 3-axis control, users can adjust the X, Y, and Z positions of wipe patterns and position the ATEM Constellation's DVEs. The joystick control for the DVE is particularly useful for placing live video over other video sources. Users can scale the size, reposition up, down, left, and right for perfect picture-in-picture effects. Moreover, the joystick can be employed to move the DVE and define start and end keyframe screen positions for customized animated DVE transitions.
